~ Kira Sutherland ~

After a near fatal accident (and getting cheated on by her ‘boyfriend’), and beating up the lead cheerleader (with whom the boyfriend cheated…), and being labeled as having ‘issues’ in her school because she, uhm, sees ghosts, Kira is left with two choices:

1. Continue her ‘therapy’ (where she’s told the ghost is a hallucination and also gets her legs ogled too often…)

Or

2. Go to Starkfield Academy, a boarding school for “Crazies and Convicts” (as the social media sites call them.)

She chooses the latter…

~ Cory Rand ~

Cory Rand has not had an easy life. His mother died in a car accident when he was twelve, and so did his mother’s best friend…sort of. You see, Janice made a promise to take care of Cory just before she died, and so she lingers. Undead. A ghost that watches out for him.

Brought up in an abusive home, Cory quickly falls into a life of disreputable behavior. After his third offense (which was prompted by a girl, as usual – he has a weakness) he’s left with two choices:

1. Be tried as an adult and share a cell with a guy named Bubba (he thinks…)

Or

2. Go to Starkfield Academy, which Cory is pretty sure is run by vampires. But, hey, at least he’ll get an education.

He chooses the latter…

It’s at Starkfield that Kira meets Cory Rand, a boy with an insatiable Rage who sees ghosts, too. As well as other things, other things from his past, things that confuse him, things like fire and witches and demons.

Things he’s always ignored.

Until now.

Author Bio
R P Channing started writing three years ago, but never published anything even after churning out over a million words of fiction. Thirst: Blood of my Blood is the first book he dared to publish. When asked why, he said, “Because it’s the first thing I wrote that my wife actually enjoyed reading.” When not hammering away (most literally) at his keyboard, he can be found buried in a book, reading anything from romance to horror to young adult to non-fiction to comedy.

Keeper Release Day #BookBlitz with Heather C. Myers

Title: Keeper, Stranger Series Book 3
Author: Heather C. Myers
Genre: YA Dark Fantasy
Hosted by: Lady Amber’s PR
Blurb:
Danger lurks in the most familiar places.
When General Arbuckle reveals the peculiar existence to the world, the Academy of Peculiars is forced to close as a way to protect the faculty and students. Sophie Harper is more focused on the fact that her best friend, Jane, may actually be alive than Arbuckle and the United States military. Daryl’s older and mental brother, Marvin, is quick to promise Jane’s safe return after brokering a deal with Daryl and Ethan, the academy’s dean. But something doesn’t sit well with Sophie about Marvin, and if Jane wasn’t involved, she’s certain Daryl wouldn’t have trusted his brother. On top of that, a familiar body winds up slaughtered at the academy gates. Now it’s up to Sophie to figure out who could have done it and why, while dodging flying bullets and suspicious ex-boyfriends. Will wants nothing more to protect her; Sophie wants nothing more than find her friend – and herself.
In the epic conclusion to the Stranger Series, Sophie will learn that just because someone is ambitious does not mean they’re evil, those that she trusts the most have the power to betray her with relative ease, and the best relationship she can ever hope to have is the one with herself.
Full disclosure: I am an acquired taste. I’m a typical blonde Orange County suburbanite who says ‘like’ more than necessary, laughs loud and probably obnoxiously, and loves to dance in the rain. I’m a 26 year old college graduate with more than a few tricks up my sleeve, and I also happen to be a pretty big Ducks fan. Oh, and I’m a writer. Like, for real.

I recently signed with Anchor Group Publishing, which will see two of my series being published this year. I’ve self-published over 15 books, with more on the way, so I’m familiar with both a hybrid-traditional publishing method as well as self-publishing.

I don’t speak in third person (normally) nor do I wear glasses (except when I’m feeling particularly mischievous). I’m lucky to have found my soul mate at the ripe old age of 22, even though he frustrates me on purpose to get a reaction out of me. We live near Disneyland, have two rambunctious female puppies, and have a beautiful baby girl. He has two amazing boys, and has gotten me hooked on Smallville, watching soccer (okay, okay FOOTBALL – FC Barcelona, baby!), and Cancun Juice.

Sacrifice Release Day Blitz with Heather C. Myers

Title: Sacrifice
Author: Heather C. Myers
Genre: dark fantasy/mythology/forbidden love
Blurb:
What do you risk when you have nothing to lose?
Nothing, apparently, given that Keirah has no qualms showing up at Andie’s doorstep, asking Jack if she can borrow his resources in order to find Noir. If that’s all Andie has to worry about, she could handle her sister.
But it’s not.
Jack’s new business partner and former flame is interested in investing in Andie’s animal shelter, yet insists on Jack’s presence during their meetings. On top of that, her closest friend Reese shares a secret that all but blindsides her. And then there’s Lucas Burr, Onyx City’s persistent DA, who wants nothing more than the city’s incorruptible vigilante, Black Wing, rotting in a prison somewhere at the very least, and will do anything to get what he wants – including using Andie as bait.
In this thrilling conclusion of The Dark Paradise trilogy, the war between angels and demons is in full swing. Will Andie survive or will she be just another faceless casualty?

Praise for Bleizgeist

‘Filled with atmosphere and chills – a book of beautiful prose and sweeping scope that will have you reading well into the night and beyond.’

-Joel Cornah, Sci-Fi & Fantasy Network

‘A good novella has to be complete in itself but also make you want to read more, and Bleizgeist succeeds at both. It’s a beautifully written tale that intertwines darkness and love to devastating effect, concealing and revealing its secrets with a skilful hand. Vivid sensory details bring the whole to life – you can almost taste the cold forest air and hear the cry of the wolves – but it’s the emotion at the heart of this magical story that continues to resonate long after you reach the final page.’

-A.F.E. Smith, Darkhaven (Harper Voyager)

‘Bleizgeist is the dark, haunting tale of Marishka’s search for acceptance in a harsh world that reveres and yet shuns her. Butler’s masterful storytelling is merciless. I cried for Marishka more than once. Bleizgeist is an homage to the dark fairytales of old, with a bold and modern approach that makes it very special.’

-Sammy H.K. Smith, Grimbold Books
