Her Midnight Sin (A Shadows and Silk Novel)Her Midnight Sin by Sofie Darling

4 stars

Her Midnight Sin is a Regency romance. Callie is a widow, who currently runs Wyldcombe Grange in Devon. It’s part of Viscount St. Alban’s estate, and one he wishes to sell off. But it’s Callie’s home and she’s poured her heart into making it turn a profit; she can’t stand the thought of losing it all. In her haste to raise the funds to buy the property herself, Callie strikes a deal with a notorious pirate.

John Nylander is a law-abiding captain of The Fortuyn. An orphan, he was raised by Viscount St. Alban’s sea-faring family. Chance circumstances and a bout of malaria have him sent to Wyldcombe Grange to convalesce. Once recovered, he admires the way Callie runs the estate; it would be just the place he would like to have for himself.

To Callie, Nylander is the very attractive enemy…

The Disgraceful Lord Gray (The King's Elite #3)The Disgraceful Lord Gray by Virginia Heath

4 stars

The Disgraceful Lord Grey is an historical romance and part of the King’s Elite series. It takes place in Suffolk in 1820.

The King’s Elite are on the trail of The Boss, a notorious leader of a smuggling gang. Lord Graham Chadwick (Gray) and his superior Lord Fennimore have set themselves up as neighbours of Viscount Gislingham, who may just be the elusive Boss.

Whilst swimming in a stream, Gray meets Gisingham’s niece Thea. He uses the chance meeting to secure an introduction to her uncle, but the man he meets seems unlikely to fit the role of a gang leader. Instead the charming Gislingham encourages Gray to pursue his niece.

Romancing Thea might be easy for Gray because he likes her, but he has a scandalous past; one which left him penniless. However Thea is not an easy catch, and…

Rosie’s #Bookreview of #Contemporary #Romance Thrill Of Love by @Melissa_Foster

Rosie Amber

Thrill of Love (The Bradens at Peaceful Harbor #6; The Bradens #18; Love in Bloom #37)Thrill of Love by Melissa Foster

4.5 stars

Thrill Of Love is a contemporary romance with strong emotional themes.

This is the story of Ty Braden and Aiyla Bell, photographers and adventurers.  The couple met in Switzerland but went their separate ways until they met again at a five-day wilderness event held in Colorado.

Although there is much spark and passion between them, Aiyla has a niggling leg injury which Ty insists she gets checked out. The storyline turns serious with the diagnosis of a bone cancer, and the long-term medical decisions that Aiyla must make.

Foster always uses strong characters and the romance is hot, but the serious themes within each story are also very well-written. These books can be read as stand-alone stories or enjoyed as part of the larger family series that is still continuing to grow.

Foundation Focus Freedom by Terence Young, M.D. Book Review

Foundation Focus Freedom: The 3 Step Process for Transforming your Mindset, Overcoming your Fears and Harnessing Unimaginable Success by Terence Young, M.D.  This is quite a powerful title but very fitting for this book!

I was contacted by the author of this book to see if I would be interested in reviewing it. Clearly, it is not my preferred genre but I’m a firm believer in “The only thing holding you back is you” and this book seemed to follow that as well. Also, the fact that the author was a successful Ob-Gyn for over twenty years and now turned entrepreneur on personal growth had me intrigued.

Be, Do, Have

This book is written to work in all areas of your life. It is laid out well in how the author describes how the power is within you to transform your life . The author provides you with the DO  to transform your thinking into the actions to HAVE the visualization of your imaginable success. How to identify your limiting beliefs, the fears and influences that are subconsciously holding you back to discovering your core values, defining success and failure and so much more. This isn’t just a book that you just read in a few hours, it is a book that you have to do the work.  To aid you in the Be, Do, Have process, the author provides a website to access free worksheets and bonus materials that will assist you throughout the book.

In my eyes, Dr. Young clearly had already achieved the unimaginable success but continued in his own personal growth to help others achieve their success through this book. I highly recommend reading it and utilizing the worksheets.

The first two chapters of the book are available here. Foundation Focus Freedom: The 3 Step Process for Transforming your Mindset, Overcoming your Fears and Harnessing Unimaginable Success is available for pre-order on Amazon and will be released on December 4, 2018.

492cc-author-bio81u6wANiYEL._US230_Terence Young is an Ob-Gyn physician who has been practicing medicine for over 22 years. He has transitioned from bettering women’s health to helping to transform people’s mindset for optimal success in life. Married to his beautiful wife Yolanda, he spends his time continuing to practice medicine, coaching clients to optimize their success in life and train for triathlons.

I was offered a free book in exchange for an honest review. My review is solely based on my opinions of the book and are 100% my own.
