My review of Finding Lucy by Tess Morrison

This is a book involving Lucy and Ian. Lucy lives in a small town and is a camp counselor at Moon Bay Camp for Kids during the summer, which she has done all her adult life, and she loves it. Lucy is all heart with children and her family, but if you cross her, she is not someone you want to contend with, which Ian quickly finds out. Ian is a self-made man, a land developer, that came from a difficult background. He throws everything into his work. Ian appears at Moon Bay Camp to buy the failing camp from the owner. Needless to say, once Lucy hears of this it is a crusade against Ian. Lucy refuses to let the camp and all the camp represents to be turned into a profit by Ian.

Initially, the book starts off a little slow and then suddenly I could not turn the pages fast enough to see what Lucy was going to do next. Also, nicely weaved into the story line is Lucy’s sister, who owns a quaint coffee shop in town, her husband and little girl. Towards the end of the book, you are also introduced to someone interesting in Ian’s life as well.

Overall, this was an amazing read. Once it picked up, I could not put it down. It is amazing what a little change in one’s life can do to put you back on the track you were destined for. Is it true love for these two??? That’s for you to find out.

I give it four out of four loons.
