My review of Escaping Reality by Lisa Renee Jones

Have you ever read a book and felt violated after reading it? Well, that’s how I’m feeling right now…….but a review I must do……..

This book involves a woman named “Amy”, who we meet while at her job in the restroom. Amy comes out to find an envelope taped to the bathroom mirror, with explicit instructions for her to follow as Amy is on the run from her past. We don’t know why, but it’s clearly serious. While following instructions from her “handler” (we don’t know who that is either), Amy goes to the airport to travel to her “new home” of Denver per her handler’s instructions. While waiting for her plane, she meets Mr. Tall, Dark and Handsome, aka, Liam. Of course, Amy and Liam, are coincidentally seating next to each other on the plane, (again, of course) instant attraction and an intense sexual relationship ensues between them. Oh and by the way, Liam is a billionaire, imagine that *sarcasm*

Although Amy has been hiding for the past 6 years,(again,we don’t know why) she decides Liam is her personal savior and starts a relationship with him. Her handler drops out of sight, but “Good Ole” Liam is right there like a Burger King drive thru giving it to her her way. Amy then overhears a conversation between Liam and a friend that sends her running away from him, and THEN THE BOOK ENDS WITH A CLIFF HANGER!! Are you feeling my pain here???

(Amy, sweetie, there are so many red flags going up around you, it might as well         be the Fourth of July!!! You don’t hide for six years out of fear for your life, and           throw it all away for Mr. Sex on a Stick! COME ON, GIRL! You are supposed to         be an educated woman here!)downloadOkay, my rant is over. I got a little long winded here and a little crazy with this book, but hey, great books will do that to you! I must confess, I got personally invested in this book and now I’m an addict on a binge for answers! Hand over the answers and no one will be harmed. Just give me answers! See, I’ve been violated and you must join me in this quest and read this book. Together, we will form an alliance for the truth!!!
To all you suspense romance junkies out there. I don’t know how you get through these books without answers. Get this book from Amazon:

This book gets a 4 out of 4 red flags. Thank you to Netgalley for allowing to me read this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

After reading this book, I also have a song stuck in my head and I’m going to share it with you so it can be stuck in your head as well.

You take it on the run baby
If that’s the way you want it baby
Then I don’t want you around
I don’t believe it, not for a minute
You’re under the gun so you take it on the run

You’re thinking up your white lies
You’re putting on your bedroom eyes
You say you’re coming home but you won’t say when
But I can feel it coming
If you leave tonight keep running
And you need never look back again, REO SPEEDWAGON
