First and foremost, I must say a book has never touched in a way this book did. I fell asleep reading this book and woke up to read this book. I am only going to give you enough information so that you absolutely must read it!!!!

The story of Annie and Dylan was so enthrallingly captivating and thrilling. Every page you uncover more and more about Annie and Dylan’s secrets, their relationship, and the inner demons they carry. This book is about betrayal, loss, love, the ability to overcome one’s past, and acceptance. It does end on a cliff hanger, so I can’t wait for The Truth About Him.

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing to review this book before the release date, and to post my honest review.

My review of Twisted Love by R.C. Stephens

51VczjBaJ9L._SX331_BO1,204,203,200_This book was absolutely captivating from start to finish, and I couldn’t put it down until I finished it (very late last night). I admit that I did not read the first book in the series, but I easily could follow the story of Alexis, Dylan and Luc. Alexis is in her last year of law school, Dylan is in his residency program as a doctor, and Luc is….let’s just say trouble.

The book takes place in Canada with Alexis haven been severely beaten, hospitalized for several days, and suffered a terrible loss. She returns home to her best friend and roommate, Anna, and starts therapy to overcome her abusive childhood and her current situation. Dylan is trying to win the love and trust of Alexis back, but is also harboring things from his past that he fears will have Alexis running, and Luc is trying to stay out of jail, hold onto Alexis, while trying to keep her safe from his family (which I found a little ironic). I don’t want to even get started on Alexis’ mother!!!

I think that author does an amazing job by wrapping up the book by writing, “Fate had twisted our love but when true love was given to you, you didn’t back down. You fought hard and made life what you wanted it to be.”

With that being said, this book is a little bit of a time jumper and there was a lot going on in this book with the other characters that had me a little confused. What happened to Alexis’ sister? I understand she want back to school, but after their phone conversation she wanted to reveal something to Alexis, and she’s never heard from again. Alexis’ mother, the evil wrench, suddenly has an about face? Anna reveals something life altering from her past to Alexis over text? As riveting as this book was and as happy as I was to see it end the way it did, I will still baffled by some of the character’s roles in the book. I don’t know if the author is going to continue the series or if she was just trying to wrap up the last book as best as she could. Just my opinion. It is my review, right?

My review of Kindred Hearts by Grace Lowrie

This was a very interesting read for me. It is a book that takes place in England, so getting used to that vocabulary was quite fun. The story involves Natasha (Tasha), and twins, Celeste and Sebastian Walker. Tasha initially meets the twin when she is relocated to another school and is instantly befriended by Celeste. Tasha is astonished that someone as sophisticated as Celeste Walker would want to be her friend as Tasha was bullied by other students which lead to her school relocation. Tasha an Celeste become best friends and Tasha and Sebastian secretly have deep conversations during this time. Tragedy strikes for the twins and Tasha is suddenly without her best friend. Ten years later, Celeste and Sebastian have returned to London and a chance meeting between Tasha and Celeste allows them to reunite. The twins, now have fast paced careers, and Tasha is working her way up on the ladder at a museum. It as if time has been forgotten and Celeste sweeps up Tasha into her world, and Tasha is soon living with Celeste and Sebastian and the relationships grow deeper between the three of them.

There were a lot of interesting twists and turns throughout this book that I didn’t see coming, but that is for you to discover. I loved the way the author showed how Celeste and Sebastian saw Tasha through their eyes when they first meet, as Tasha thought she didn’t need friends. The Epilogue to the book made it absolutely complete.

Kindred Hearts

My review of Risking Hearts by Iona Findley

This is the second book that I have read by Iona Findley and the characters just keeps getting better (Each book can be read on its own). In Risking Hearts, it is a romance involving Hope and Jake. Hope has her own catering business and Jake is an airplane pilot. Hope receives a bid to cater at a airport where she meets, risk taking Jake. Jake is determined to win the heart of Hope, who tries to resist his deep-hearted charm. Hope has lost her parents in a plane crash and Hope was the only survivor. Understandably, I related with Hope’s initial hesitancy to get involved with Jake. But through Jake’s good hearted soul, he is able to help Hope with her inner struggles and at the same time, helps Jake right back. It is a love story by through love you can learn to take risks and live in the moment as Hope knows how life can change so suddenly.

Thank you to author, Iona Findley, for the opportunity to review another wonderful book. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
